Well - it's been age since I decided to get this blog going and then after 2 posts I disappeared!!
Hope everyone has had good Christmases and New Years - to be honest I'm looking forward to just getting back to normal.
I have been baking up a storm over the festive period, which has been nice. My list included:
Mince Pies (of course!) - using my homemade 'Delia' mincemeat. I would recommend Paul Hollywood's pastry recipe though as Delia's was a little dry for me
Eggnog cupcakes - lovely gentle nutmeg flavoured icing. This one was from the Hummingbird cake days recipe book
Chocolate tray bake with chocolate butter cream and festive sprinkles - my alternative to Christmas Cake
Gingerbread Christmas trees - decorated with jelly tots as baubles!
Into January and I'm going to have to find a way to make some less calorific treats, as everyone, including me, will be watching their waistlines!!
